
Michael
Steiner is a partner in our Boston office. Following
a career spanning 25 years of international experience
in the pharmaceutical, biotech and medical technology
industries, Dr. Steiner's focus is on M&A transactions,
investments, private equity projects, strategy development
and turn-around situations of companies.
Experience
Prior to joining JSB-Partners, Dr. Steiner held senior
management consulting positions as a partner and global
healthcare practice group leader of Bain & Company,
New York and The Boston Consulting Group, Munich/ Boston.
He was previously a co-founder, and strategic advisor
of MPM Capital Boston/ San Francisco. During the 90’s
Dr. Steiner served as chairman of the board of 3M-ESPE
Seefeld/ Munich, LION bioscience Heidelberg, and PARI
Capital Munich/Zurich. He is also a co-founder of Affectis,
Munich.
Boards
Dr. Steiner is a member of the board of directors of
Max-Planck-Innovation and PARI Capital, Munich/Zurich.
Education
Dr. Steiner earned a Ph.D. in Biochemistry from the
Max-Planck-Institute for Biochemistry in Martinsried/
Munich. Part of his Ph.D. work was conducted at the
University of California in Irvine and the California
Institute of Technology in Pasadena.
