Wolfgang
Stoiber is a co-founder and partner based in our Munich
office. Dr. Stoiber has over 25 years experience as
a physician, pharmaceutical industry executive and as
an investment banker.
Experience
Prior to co-founding JSB-Partners, Dr. Stoiber was with
MPM Capital, where he built the firm’s transatlantic
business. While at MPM, he initiated and managed numerous
cross-border transactions with pharmaceutical and biotechnology
companies. Prior to MPM, Dr. Stoiber held senior management
positions in F. Hoffmann-LaRoche’s Austrian and
French pharmaceutical divisions. His career with Roche
began after his medical and clinical training, in the
medical marketing division and continued in marketing
and sales. Dr. Stoiber has advised the German development
agency responsible for expanding the country’s
biotechnology industry and contributed to the creation
of a number of companies, including Therascope, AC Immune,
and PNB.
Boards
Dr. Stoiber previously served on the board of directors
of Therascope AG (now Alantos) and GPC Biotech AG.
Education
Dr. Stoiber earned an MD, magna cum laude,
from the Ludwig-Maximilians-University, Munich and an
MBA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
